Mobile, Internet Services to Be Probed

The Posts, Telecommunications and IT Quality Management Agency under the Ministry of Posts and Telecom said it will make a sudden inspection in any telecom service providers to check the quality of mobile phone and broadband Internet services.
 
The inspection will be performed if the agency hears complaints about the poor quality of telecom services.
 
The inspection will base on nine criteria, including successful call, failed call, call quality, charge calculation accuracy, charge calculation inaccuracy and customer care services.
 
The quality of broadband Internet services will be inspected based on seven standards, including average data loading speed, average using capacity and customer care services.
 
Vietnam now has around 25 million mobile phone users served by six mobile networks of Vinaphone, MobiFone, Viettel Mobile, E-Mobile (EVN Telecom), S-Fone and HT Telecom.
 
The country also has 4.5 million internet subscribers.
 
The inspection results will be announced on the website of the Posts, Telecommunications and IT Quality Management Agency at http://www.ptqc.gov.Vn (VTC)
