Work Begins on US$150Mln Property Project in Southern Metro
Hao Quang Trading and Services Co. and Hiep Phu Thinh Joint Stock Company started construction of a US$150 million project in Ho Chi Minh City last week, state media said.
Richland Hill Complex, located in District 9, is the first of this kind in Vietnam designed as a high-rise with an overhead garden, a popular architectural style in cities like New York and Chicago.
The complex will include the 18-storey Athena Building containing commercial and office space; the Zeus Building, with a five-storey trade and entertainment center and four 28-storey apartment towers; and the Apollo and Poseidon Buildings, with three 22-storey apartment towers each.
Construction is slated for completion by 2011, and sale of apartments will begin from mid-2008.
District 9, a gateway to Ho Chi Minh City, is expected to be a driving force for the economic development in the city.
Kumho Asiana, one of the seven largest conglomerates in South Korea, is also carrying Kumho Asiana Plaza worth US$233 million and a US$150 million golf-course project in the city in cooperation with Quyet Thang Corp. (VietnamNet)
