Turning Egg into Gold

Born in a poor family, studied calculation, borrowed money, sometimes brought to the verge of bankruptcy… it is the way of starting business of Mrs. Ba Huan (Pham Thi Huan), Director of Ba Huan Company., Ltd - the company that creates the brand name of “clean egg” for Vietnam.
 
Over 40 years of struggling with difficulties, the southern woman understands how miserable farmers suffer. This encourages her to pursue the egg business with a desire of finding out a way to help farmers get a better living.
 
Since H5N1 flu epidemic appeared, both her and farmers were fallen into full of hardships. In order to help farmers to rebuild their farmsteads, Mrs. Ba Huan has support them 3 billion VND, but this sum of money was lost all due to the flu epidemic. With the entrepreneurial spirit and to pursue the family’s traditional business, she decided to go overseas to seek for new technology.
 
After many years abroad, June 2006, Ba Huan Company officially put into operation an automatic egg processing chain from Europe with a capacity of 65,000 eggs/hour. This is considered the most modern egg processing technology in Vietnam and Southeast Asia. With the new technology, the company can check, sort out, clean and sterilize by ultraviolet rays. Besides, it has a function of automatic packaging, sealing and checking technical specifications of food safety and hygiene. To make sure of the clean egg, every phase of processing is severely supervised.  
 
Mrs. Ba Huan revealed: “ Every businessman thinks of profit, but my business is a little bit different, the profit of one egg is just some cents. Some asks me, investing 30 billion Dong in the factory, when you take back the capital. However, since the factory launched, it helps our farmers a lot. Without this, no place for farmers. My happiness is to work with farmers and of course egg.”
 
Today, the clean egg named Ba Huan has been used by consumers nationwide, sold in most of supermarkets, schools, hospitals by its own prestige and quality. According to Mrs. Ba Huan, although 800, 000 eggs are supplied to the market, but still not meets the current demands. To further increase the capacity and present the company’s social responsibility to the community, the company is now incorporation with rehabilitation centers, center for wounded soldiers, etc to build some farmsteads to create jobs for misfortune people. 
 
Frankly, the presence of Ba Huan Company and the confidential of assisting farmers of Mrs. Ba Huan has help open a new way for most of the poor farmers of the country.
