Vietnam Southern Province Approves US$550 Mln Transport Projects

The southern province of Dong Nai has approved four key transport projects totaling VND8.85 trillion (US$550 million), the Vietnam News Agency reported June 12.
 
The largest project is a VND6.7 trillion road linking from Ho Chi Minh City’s district 9 to Nhon Trach district. The seven-lane road of 17.9 kilometers in length will be built under the form of Building-Operation-Transfer.
 
Other projects include Hoa An Bridge valued VND850 billion, An Hoa and Hiep Hoa bridges worth a total combined investment of VND600 billion, and a 50-kilometer road of VND700 billion running from Bien Hoa city to the local district of Vinh Cuu.
 
The provincial authority has assigned the Transport Department to complete procedures for bidding invitation to seek investors. (Vietnam & World Economy)
