Vietnam Makes 20.3 Mln Tons of Cement in H1
Vietnam reportedly turned out 20.3 million tons of cement in the first half this year, representing 50.8% of the yearly target, according to the Ministry of Construction.
 
In the six-month period, cement consumption reached 20.13 million tons, fulfilling 50.3% of the year&rsquos target, the ministry said.
 
This year, the cement industry will ensure supply of 43.7 million tons, up 15% against last year. Imported clinker is estimated at 3.5 million tons, or 4.2 million tons of cement.
 
Five new cement production lines have been operational so far this year. Six others are scheduled to go on stream from now to the year&rsquos . The new facilities are expected to have a combined designed capacity of 12.28 million tons. (Investment)
