Vietnam PM Ratifies Vietnam-Paraguay Visa Exemption Agreement
Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung Aug 19 issued a decision to ratify an agreement with Paraguay to exempt visas for diplomats and state officials.
The agreement was signed March last year in Paraguay’s Asuncion capital on the occasion of the visit of Vietnamese deputy foreign minister Le Van Bang to the Latin American country.
The Vietnamese PM asked the related agencies to work together to promote the agreement.
Vietnam and Paraguay sets up diplomatic ties in May 1995.
The bilateral two-way trade reached US$2.2 million in 2006. Vietnam mainly imported cotton from Paraguay, valuing at US$1.5 million. (chinhphu.vn)
