IFC Honors Techcombank as Most Active Import Supporter in Asia
Vietnam Technological & Commercial Joint Stock Bank (Techcombank)has been granted with the "Most Active Import Support Bank In Asia 2008" prize by the International Finance Corporation (IFC).
It is the first prize being granted to an Asian bank belonging to IFC's banking system in the field of import support.
Luu Thi Anh Xuan, deputy general director of Techcombank said that in Vietnam, her bank is one of the most active lenders in commercial support, which now serves nearly 20,000 enterprises.
Together with IFC, many international organizations including the World Bank and ADB selected Techcombank to be the best support provider for SMEs.
In the field of international payment, Techcombank has so far established business with over 10,000 agent banks in nearly 125 countries and territories worldwide with the transaction growth averaging at 50-60 per cent a year. (Vietnam Economic Times)
