CFVG has just been awarded the prestigious European EPAS accreditation delivered by the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD), the European association of Business Schools, for its well established MBA programme.

CFVG's other programmes, the MEBF – Master in Economics of Banking and Finance and the newly-launched MMSS – Master in Marketing Sales and Services benefits from the prestigious accreditations held by the prestigious institutions that delivered the degrees: ESCP-EAP European School of Management and Paris Dauphine University for the MEBF and Paris Sorbonne together with ESCP-EAP for the Master in Marketing.

CFVG, the first school of Management in Vietnam was founded in 1992 by the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Vietnamese government. Over 15 years operation in Vietnam, it has trained 1,200 CEOs, marketing and finance managers for a big number of local and foreign companies in Vietnam among which Vinamilk, Big C, FCR France Telecom, Sired-Danida, ACB etc. « Our partner institutions are among the most reputed universities and business schools, all of them holding international accreditation » shared Pr. Dr. Joel Broustail Director of CFVG HCMC and a professor of Paris Sorbonne.

It is no doubt that over 15 years, CFVG has made its part in training and enhancing cooperation between Vietnam and France to provide companies the skilled managers they need to develop. Dr. Joel reveals that the number of candidates to CFVG programmes has nearly tripled over the last 3 years. The success of CFVG lays in its commitment to address companies’ needs. After the launching of its MBA and of its specialized Master in Finance in 2003, CFVG has launched in 2006, a specialized Master in Marketing Sales and Services. Vietnam's accession to WTO and the surge of foreign investment brought new challenges and this programme is designed to contribute increasing Vietnam's international competitiveness providing companies with professionals able to help them conquer new markets.

Furthermore, CFVG has just obtained the European accreditation “EPAS”. “It is a further step in CFVG's continuous efforts towards quality» said Pr. Dr. Jerome Bon, the former Dean of ESCP-EAP, one of Europe's leading business schools, and now President of CFVG’s board of directors. Following this accreditation, new dual degree agreement were signed with ESCP-EAP, CERAM European School of Business and Audencia School of Management, allowing student exchange between CFVG and these 3 top-class European institutions, thus increasing the international exposure of CFVG students.

According to Dr. Joel Broustail, there are a few things for Vietnam to step up its efforts in this sector. First, Vietnam should develop further the diversification of these higher education institutions: « The coexistence of highly selective universities and of vocational schools is necessary to meet the diversified needs of the growing Vietnamese economy as well as the diverse profiles of the students » he said. Second, the autonomy of higher education institutions should be encouraged in order to stimulate a competition for quality between the universities. Third, Vietnamese universities should develop systematic international collaborations at the graduate and postgraduate level (exchange of students, joint degree programmes, etc.)
