Vietnam Exports Mutton to AUE
The Hung Viet Technology, Investment and Trade Joint Stock Company in Hanoi city has bought ten tons of mutton from central Ninh Thuan province to export to the United Emirates of Arab Saudi (AUE).
This is the first time Ninh Thuan mutton was exported after 50 years local farmers have bred lamb, the provincial service of Agriculture and Rural Development said.
To have 10 tons of button that was selling for VND70,000 a kilogram (more than US$4), the province slaughtered around 1,000 lambs.
Nguyen Duc Thu, head of the service said the export encouraged local breeders to expand their flock.
Ninh Thuan is now the biggest lamb breeding area in Viet Nam with a flock of nearly 70,000 heads. (Youth)
