Vietnam Telecom Firm Named in World's Top 100 Mobile Telecoms Brands
Informa plc, the leading provider of specialist information to the global academic & scientific, professional and commercial communities has named Viettel in the list of the World’s 100 Most Valuable Mobile Telecoms Brands 2008.
The Viettel brand name has an estimated value of $536 million and is placed 83rd. In terms of revenue, Viettel has ranked 94th.
The total value of the 100 brand names is US$318 billion.
With this ranking, Viettel has surpassed SingTel and StarHub (Singapore), DiGi (Malaysia), and Indosat (Indonesia), which are well-known cellular companies in the region.
Viettel Telecom, a leading mobile operator in Vietnam, has to date reported more than 25 million subscribers. The company is expected to earn revenues of VND32 trillion (1.95 billion) this year. (Young People, Labor)
