Italia Funds US$1.35 Mln for Poverty Reduction in Central Vietnam
The Italian government has decided to grant nearly US$1.35 million for a three-year project to reduce poverty in three districts in the central province of Quang Nam.
The project focusing on the forestry and agricultural sectors will benefit for residents in Tien Phuoc, Phu Ninh and Nui Thanh Districts.
Bilateral trade between Vietnam and Italy is expected to hit US$1.5 billion last year.
As of late Oct of 2007, Italian investors invested US$93.27 million into 23 projects in the Asean country. (Young People)
