UAE, Vietnam Sign 5 Cooperation Deals

Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung and Vice President-cum-Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum held talks on February 16 and agreed to beef up the bilateral comprehensive and friendship ties in coming years.
 
The two PMs agreed to prioritize long-term and stable cooperation in investments, finance, energy, trade, labor and agriculture. Dung noted Vietnam treasures cooperation with UAE, seeing it as a significant partner in Asia.
 
Right after Dung’s visit to UAE this time, the Middle East country will appoint a high-profile delegation to be led by one deputy prime minister to visit Vietnam.
 
After talks, Nguyen Tan Dung and Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum witnessed signing five cooperation pacts such as an agreement on tax double avoidance, an agreement on investment encouragement and protection, a pact on establishment of inter-governmental committee, a memorandum of understanding on human resource development cooperation and a protocol on cooperation between Vietnam’s Foreign Ministry and UAE’s counterpart.
