Dutch Businesses to Explore Vietnam Market
A delegation of 15 Dutch enterprises involved in industry, energy technology, oil and gas will pay a visit to Vietnam from March 30 to April 2, 2009 to explore business and investment opportunities in the country, according to the Vietnam Trade Office in the Netherlands.
The visiting companies are members of the Dutch Industrial Association (FME). The visit is part of a programme to expand Vietnam’s cooperation and investment with Vietnam, financially supported by the Trade Promotion Agency and Economic Ministry of the Netherlands.
Some enterprises that are members the delegation have already invested or carried out trading activities in Vietnam such as Vopak LNG Holding BV - investing in port and LPG, oil and chemical storage system in Ho Chi Minh City and Dak Nong province, Van Oord Offshore BV - building dyke and breakwater in Dung Quat oil refinery complex, and Haskoning Nederland BV - managing coastal projects.
The Dutch businessmen will meet leaders of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh People’s Committees, and some Vietnamese oil and gas partners such as Vietsovpetro, PetroVietnam and PSTC.
Two meetings with local enterprises will also be held in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City on March 31 and April 1, respectively.
