Some US$70 Mln Deals Inked at Furniture Fair in HCM City
Up to 150 companies inked 129 contracts totaling US$70 million at the Vietnam International Furniture and Home Accessories Fair, or VIFA 2009, held in Ho Chi Minh City from March 11 to 14, according to the fair’s representative.
Nguyen Ba Tuan, representative of the VIFA 2009, said the Truong Thanh Furniture Group signed US$1.1 million deals; Italy-invested Levico Co. inked 20 deals while HCMC-based Sadaco Co. won contracts to export furniture to Finland, and Japan.
Tuan said around 700 foreign delegates visited the VIFA 2009, double the figure in 2008. (Youth)
