CMC InfoSec Develops Tools to Kill Conficker Worm

Computer emergency response teams in the United States, Europe and Vietnam together with world-leading security firms have sent a red-level warning to the wide-scale dissemination and ravage of Conficker worm from April 1. 
 
CMC has made continuous efforts to search and develop tools to kill this terribly destructive worm. According to Mr Nguyen Hoang Giang, a virus analyst, CMC InfoSec has developed remover tools to kill this devastative worm and will continue tracking its variations to update the killing tools for users.
 
“The simplest ways to prevent the infection of this worm are to regularly update Windows, disable autorun functions of Windows, run updated Antivirus programme and limit visiting to unfamiliar websites,” Mr Nguyen Hoang Giang recommended.
 
While the latest variation of Conficker, Conficker.C, has been started the destructive work, its older variations are killing many computers. Conficker.A has infected more than 4.7 million IP addresses and Conficker B has destructed up to 6.7 million IP addresses. In addition to its quick infection rate, about 50,000 domains a day, the worm can disable most popular antivirus softwares.
