Vietnam Gets US$60.83M from WB, Japan to Boost SBV Role
The World Bank and Japan will co-lend US$60.83 million to Vietnam to improve roles of its central bank-the State Bank of Vietnam.
Governor Nguyen Van Giau of the SBV and WB's Country Director in Vietnam Victoria Kwakwa signed the deal on loans in Hanoi on April 21.
WB and Japan will provide US$60 million and US$0.83 million, respectively.
“The project is of great significance and helps stabilize monetary and financial activities in Vietnam,” Giau said. (chinhphu.vn, SBV)
