Vietnam Gets US$160M from World Bank for Urban Infrastructure
Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung has approved a US$160 million loan from the World Bank to improve power, water infrastructure networks in four cities, the government said on May 7.
Of that fund, US$128.8 million will go to Ho Chi Minh City, US$11.6 million to Can Tho, US$10.45 million to Haiphong, and US$9.147 million to Nam Dinh, the government added.
Victoria Kwakwa, Country Director in Vietnam said the bank will funnel US$1.2 billion to support Vietnam this year, state media said. (Govt’s Website, Vietnam Economic Times)
