Vietnam Jan-Apr Exports to U.S. Down 5 per cent, but to EU +64.3 per cent: Ministry

Vietnam goods shipments to the U.S. fell approx 5 per cent and to the EU rocketed 64.3 per cent in the first four months, the Vietnamese Ministry of Industry and Trade said.
 
The MOIT did not give out the exact exports values to these markets, however.
 
Vietnam's exports to Asian markets were down 13.2 per cent with values of crude oil and industrial products dropping while shipments to the American continent posted growth of 1.8 per cent, the MOIT noted.
 
The U.S., EU and Japan are biggest buyers of Vietnamese goods.
 
Vietnam will open trade offices in the Middle East, Latin America and EU as part of efforts to boost exports. (Labor)
