Russia Welcomes Back 39 Vietnamese Meat, Seafood Exporters
The Russian authorities have loosen regulations on meat and seafood imported from Vietnam, prompting companies in the ASEAN country to ship more products of these kinds to the market.
Thirty nine Vietnamese companies have been allowed to export food to Russia as of May 2009, the EU market department under the Vietnamese Ministry of Industry and Trade said.
The nine meat companies are Haiphong Vinalivesko Meat Processing Co, Nam Dinh Meat and Agriculture Products processing Com, Ninh Binh Meat and Agriculture Products Processing Co, Vissan Import – Export Co, Tien Giang – Libereko Export Frozen Meat Processing Plant, Thai Binh Meat Export Processing Co, Thai Binh Meat Co, Minh Hien Meat Union and Hanoi LIPROCO Meat Processing Co.
Other 30 seafood companies include BASEAFOOD – F34, Hung Vuong Vinh Long Co. Ltd, AN LAC SEAFOOD Co.Ltd (ALSF Co., LTD), Cho Lon Seafood Processing Co. (Cholifood ) and Sai Gon Seafood JSC.
Russia last month removed a ban on imports of food and seafood products from Vietnam, which it had imposed last December after some products were found containing banned chemicals.
Vietnam exported $200 million worth of seafood products to Russia last year. (Vinanet.vn)
