S.Korean Firm Starts Building US$40M Waste Dumpsite in Southern Vietnam

South Korean Kbec Vina Co May 13 kicked off construction of US$40 million industrial solid waste dumpsite at the Toc Tien concentrated waste treatment complex in southern Ba Ria-Vung Tau province’s Tan Thanh district, local authorities said.
 
This is the first project at the 100-hectare complex, invested by the company under the provincial Department of Natural Resources and Environment.
 
The 38-hectare landfill, which will be built into six stages in next 20 years, is expected to help treat 8.7 million cubic meters of solid waste.
 
The dumpsite will receive 1.3 million cubic meters of waste in the first stage after one year of construction.
 
The project will use Kbec’s new technology that is not harmful to environment and sanitary. (Young People)
