PetroVietnam Insurance Corp ’08 Abroad Premiums Hit US$20M
PetroVietnam Insurance Joint Stock Corporation (PVI) said it had made more than US$20 million abroad premiums in 2008 without giving comparative figures.
PVI said it sold insurance services to its partners in Singapore, Algeria and will seek opportunities in Russia and Venezuela in coming months.
The insurer also proposed the Ministry of Finance not impose value added tax of 5 per cent on insurance services outside Vietnam.
PVI shares closed flat Monday at VND30,900 on 270,500 shares including 21,800 shares bought by foreign buyers. (Stock Investment)
