Asean Countries Join Hands in Fisheries Development
Asean countries will join hands to expand fisheries development effectively.
The announcement was released at the 17th Meeting of the ASEAN Sectoral Working Group on Fisheries (ASWGFi) held in Vietnam’s central city of Hoian Jun 3, the seventh round.
Fisheries officials from ten Asean countries discussed depletion of seafood resources due to overexploitation and impacts of climate changes on fishing industry, sustainable aquatic production and illegal fishing activities on the regional waters.
Nguyen Viet Manh, vice head of the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development’s international cooperation division said MARD will cooperate with Asean countries’ counterparts for sustainable and effective development of fisheries. (HCMC Law)
