Vietnam Exports Cement to American, African, Asian Countries

Vietnamese cement producers have been expanding its export markets to America, Africa and Asia in recent years.
 
Cam Pha cement plant, the largest of its kind so far in Vietnam has inked a deal with Pionaire Finance Co. Ltd to ship 40,000 tons monthly to South Africa.
 
It has also signed agreement with Universal Best Services LLC to ship clinker and cement to the U.S. and South America.
 
Ha Tien Cement Joint Stock Company has so far exported over 16,000 tons of cement to Cambodia and Hoang Mai Joint Stock Company has also shipped its products to Africa, Middle East and some others, the Vietnam Cement Association said.
 
Bim Son Cement Joint Stock Company had sold 100,000 tons of cement Laos in 2001 and maintained this volume yearly until now.
 
The cement sector plans to operate 20 more cement plants in the next years, said the association adding that the country is estimated to have a cement surplus of 7 million tons next year.
 
Vietnam is forecast to have a huge surplus of cement at 30 million-35 million tons by 2020 if the current production capacity and development impetus are maintained, said the Vietnam Cement Industry Corporation (Vicem).
 
Promoting domestic products abroad and searching more export markets is necessary for cement producers now, said Vicem. (infoTV)
