HCMC Jun CPI Likely +0.6 per cent On Month, +3.13 per cent Since Early 2009

Consumer price index of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam’s biggest economic hub, is estimated to have been up 0.6 per cent on month in June and have surged 3.13 per cent since the beginning of the year, according to the city’s statistics department.
 
The CPI hike in the month is driven by housing, electricity, construction materials which are likely to rise 1.41 per cent, domestic appliances +0.74 per cent, transport and telecom +0.81 per cent, entertainment and tourism +0.7 per cent, the department noted.
 
Food is up 0.9 per cent while foodstuff is down 0.68 per cent.
 
The city’s CPI projection is often released before the end of each month. (Banking Times)
