Vietnam Firm Opens Two Large Packing Plants in Central Province
The Song Lam SABECO packaging Joint Stock Company opened two packaging-producing plants in Vietnam’s central Nghe An province on Jun 21, the biggest in Southeast Asia.
The aluminum can producing plant is designed for an annual capacity of 450 million cans and one billion lids, while the cardboard production plant is capable of generating 40 million cardboard packs per year.
Begun in June 2007, the two facilities, which occupy 80,000 sq.m in the Bac Vinh Industrial Park, Vinh City, have a combined investment of VND830 billion (US$49.112 million).
The plants are expected to have revenues of VND700 billion annually. (The People, New Hanoi)
