EVN Pours US$742.35M into Investment Projects in Jan-May
The state-owned Electricity of Vietnam Group (EVN) was estimated to have injected VND12.62 trillion (US$742.35 million) in its investment projects in the first five months of this year, 24 per cent of the full-year target.
In May, the country’s sole electricity distributor spent VND3.67 trillion (US$215.88 million) on projects.
This year, EVN plans to arrange nearly VND50 trillion (US$2.94 billion) into electricity generator projects.
It is speeding up preparation to start commercial operation of seven more power plants with a combined capacity of 1,100 MW within this year.
