VNPT Hanoi Revenue Up 23.7 per cent At VND1.6T in H1

The Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Hanoi (VNPT Hanoi) made revenues of VND1.588 trillion (US$93.7 million) in the first half of this year, up 23.7 per cent on year and finishing 48.6 per cent of this year’s target.

Of the figure, revenue from telecom and IT services was VND1.253 trillion, up 3.6 per cent on year.

VNPT Hanoi signed up 30,942 new landline telephone subscribers and 61,462 Mega VNN subscribers.

The company plans to install 23,168 ADSL 2 gates to serve Internet subscribers and expand Hanoi telecommunications ADSL network in the 2009 – 2010 period. (New Hanoi)
