Trang An Hospital - Where Humanity Gets Wings

In 1996, the first private general surgery in Hanoi was set up. By 2001, Vu The Hung, the clinic’s founder made a brave decision: Establishment of the Trang An Private General Hospital. Since then, the hospital has gradually been upgraded, becoming a confident address for the people living in Vietnam and overseas Vietnamese.  

Since starting his business and as becoming chief executive officer of a big private hospital in Hanoi, Mr Hung has understood that his way would be full of ups and downs. Operating in the health field which is very sensitive, Mr Hung always considers between the business and humanity. Fortunately, during the past 15 years, he has been successful in balancing the two extremes. Thus, his job runs well. The hospital operates effectively while his conscience remains easeful. As being queried where his secret is, he said let’s to live, work and behavior with a pure conscience.

 

His conscience is at first care to patients. He has invested tens of billion of Vietnamese dong to build the hospital, purchased the world’s most modern medical machines and invited Vietnam’s doctors and professors to work there. Surprisingly, examination and treatment fees in the Trang An hospital are lowest compared to other private hospitals and clinics in Hanoi. Explaining about that, Mr Hung frankly shared: Trang An is one of the hospitals which were set up early with a firm investment source provided by an financial-potential enterprise. Thus, it is pressured by financial problem and possible to lower hospital fees in order to ease patients from the fee burden. Hung also has invested modern facilities for sick-rooms in the hospital to help bring a comfortable space for health examination and treatment. The hospital also applies a strict rule that bans doctors, nurses to receive any bonus from patients apart from hospital fees.    

 

The second thing is his conscience to doctors and nurses working in the hospital. In order to give the best health examination and treatment services to patients, Mr Hung hired the country’s leading doctors and nurses. Out of nearly 100 staffs of the hospital, seven are professors and associate professors; six are Ph.D, 18 professional doctors and university graduates and post-graduates. Proudly, few medical workers of the Trang An Hospital get a transfer. Because Mr Hung understands that keeping talents is more difficult than recruiting talents, treasuring talents is always one of the hospital’s policies. Apart from an adequate income, the hospital has also created a dynamic working environment, which blows up the intellectuals’ enthusiasm. During its operation process, the hospital is willing to recognize responsibility if there is any incident to not affect the prestige of doctors and professors. Particularly, many young doctors have been sent abroad for study. Therefore, every staffs of the hospital see it as their home.            

 

Since the Trang An Hospital became operational, Mr Hung has given priority to developing and applying high tech. The hospital has also invested modern testing machines to serve diagnosis and treatment. Besides regular tests, the hospital’s testing ward also conducts both very-fast test and higher test. Some tests made in the Trang An Hospital like twice- automatic bio-sampling system, twice-automatic hematology analyzer have not yet been carried out in even bigger hospitals. Trang An Hospital has also conducted successfully advanced surgeon technologies in the world like laser surgeon, logo surgeon.  

 

Currently, the hospital has 60 inpatient sick-beds, serving between 300-500 patients every day. Many hospitals in the Central Highlands, Bac Giang and Lang Son provinces have sent their staffs to the hospital to learn and transfer technologies. The hospital is also assigned to conduct health checks for export laborers. The Ministry of Health also agrees with the hospital to hold regular health checks for civil servants. The hospital is also a confident address for many overseas Vietnamese.

 

Not only focusing on health examination and treatment, which are its strong points, the hospital has also offered the beauty care services. Since April of this year, the hospital’s beauty care ward has officially come into operation. Trang An Hospital is applying modern technologies and advanced devices imported from Belgium, Holland, Western Germany to carry out physiotherapy.
