Vietnam Licenses 48,000 New Businesses Jan-July: MPI

Vietnam had licensed 48,000 new enterprises in the first seven months this year, which have a total registered capital of VND207.6 trillion (US$12.284 billion), said the Ministry of Planning and Investment (MPI).
 
The number of new enterprises increased by 19.09 per cent compared to the same period last year, while their capital value was down by 34.8 per cent, the MPI said.
 
In July, the country licensed 7,000 new businesses worth VND33 trillion, up 34.6 per cent and 27.3 per cent, respectively, against the corresponding period of 2008.
