Russian Software Firm Eyes IT Projects in Vietnam

Softline Venture Partners (SVP), a leader in the Russian software distribution and licensing market, will spend major money in the Vietnam IT market in a move to tap the country’s potential.
 
The group will set up a fund to invest in software and IT projects in Vietnam, Russia and in former Soviet Union nations, a SVP official said.
 
Each IT and software project will receive investment of around US$1 million from the fund, the official added.
 
Softline opened a representative office in Vietnam in March 2009.
 
Softline now employs about 1,000 staff and has 16 representative offices in 16 countries worldwide. (www.baomoi.com)
