PTSC Officially Operates Hon La Port

PetroVietnam Technical Services Joint Stock Company (PTSC) has officially operated Hon La Port in the central province of Quang Binh under a takeover agreement signed with the provincial People’s Committee in Dong Hoi city on August 10.

 

Under the signed deal, PTSS will take over the Hon La port, located within the Hon La Economic Zone in Quang Trach district, Quang Binh province, along with all properties taken shape during the first phase of project. PTSC will continue to expand the port in the next phases. Accordingly, PTSC will have responsibility in managing, operating and developing the seaport in accordance with the state’s Seaport Development Strategy, as well as enjoy preferential policies for investment in the province’s Hon La Economic Zone. 

 

Addressing the signing ceremony, PTSC General Director Nguyen Hung Dung said Hon La port plays a key role in his company’s deep-water seaport development strategy. He said PTSC plans to focus its investment on developing and upgrading facilities for the port in the second phase, in order to increase its capacity, and thus boost local economic development.
