Vietnam H1 Exports to Belgium Fall 10% to US$480.114M
Vietnam reaped US$480.114 million from exporting goods to Belgium in the first half of this year, down 10% against the same period last year, according to the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT).
Vietnam exported 111,043 tons of coffee worth US$160.86 million, twice the amount in volume compared to the same time a year ago and with a 126.3% increase in value on-year. Coffee represented 33.5% of the country’s total export turnover from Belgium during the period.
Garments and textiles followed with $49.598 million, seafood with $41.681 million, handbags, wallets, valises, hats and umbrellas with $41.048 million, and wood furniture with $11.944 million.
Two-way trade between Vietnam and Belgium reached $1.37 billion last year with Vietnam exporting over $1 billion worth of goods to Belgium, up 20% on-year and importing $350 million in goods, up 12% on-year. (Vinanet)
