Vietnam H1 Exports to South Korea down 12.07% to US$879.389M
Vietnam reportedly raked in US$879.389 million from goods exported to South Korea in the first half of this year, an on-year decrease of 12.07%, the Ministry of Industry and Trade said.
In June, the country’s total export value to South Korea fell by 18.39% on-year to US$166.388 million.
Among 28 key exports to the country, crude oil was Vietnam’s greatest cash earner with $165.322 million over the first half, representing 18.8% of the country’s total export value to South Korea.
It was followed by seafood with $130.124 million, garments and textiles with $77.3 million, coal with $49.43 million, wood furniture with $39.8 million, and coffee with $27.79 million.
The value of trade between Vietnam and South Korea is estimated between $8.9 billion and $9.3 billion this year, down between 9.5% and 5.4% on-year. Vietnam’s export value is estimated between $2.03 billion and $2.25 billion. (Vinanet)
