A group of Vietnamese businesses will take part in World Fruit Vegetable Expo 2009 (WFV Expo 2009) in London, the Agricultural Trade Promotion Center (Agritrade), under the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development said.
The expo will be held in London to showcase vegetables and fruit. This is why this event is considered as an international prestigious expo and only high-quality products are exhibited at the fair.
According to Agritrade, the expo is a good chance for Vietnamese vegetable and fruit exporters to learn the needs of European markets and their standards of quality and hygiene for vegetables and fruit exports. Also, they can seek partners and export contracts during the expo.
Vietnamese participating business will be supported with 100% of the costs of booth leases, and displays of their products in the Vietnam Pavilion at the expo and trade promotion.
Vietnam exports its fruits to 50 countries, including some markets importing a majority of the country’s fruits such as China and Cambodia.
In the first eight months this year, the country is estimated to have earned US$280 million from exports of vegetable and fruit, up 0.6% against the same period last year. (New Hanoi)
