Japan’s Kobuta Corp Invests US$8.66M in Building Tractor Plant in Vietnam
Japan’s leading manufacturer of agricultural machinery, Kobuta Corporation has invested JPY800 million (US$8.66 million) to build a tractor production factory Vietnam’s southern economic hub of Ho Chi Minh City.
The factory, which is part of Kobuta’s plan to expand its business operations in Asian countries, aiming to triple its annual sales of agricultural machines in the region to 150,000 units in 2013, is expected to be put in use in October 2009.
At present, the corporation is hiring a workshop of a Vietnamese firm to manufacture these products.
Kobuta targets to sell between 15,000 and 25,000 agricultural machines in Vietnam per year in 2013. (Vietnamplus, People’s Army)
