Vietnam Construction Sector Posts US$4.2B Production, Biz Value Jan-Aug
The total production and business value of Vietnam’s construction sector reached VND74.84 trillion (US$4.198 billion) in the first eight months, up 9.5% from a year earlier, making up 63% of its full-year target, the Ministry of Construction said.
Of the sum, the assembling sector reported production value at VND33.596 trillion during the period, an on-year increase of 11%, said the ministry.
The construction sector’s industrial production value increased by 8.6% on-year to VND24.85 trillion during that time.
Over this period, the sector hastened the implementation of many national key projects, such as the Dung Quat oil refinery, Nhon Trach, Tuyen Quang and Pleikrong power plants. (New Hanoi)
