Hanoi Power Co. to Invest VND1T in Power Grid Upgrade by 2010

The Hanoi Power Company plans to invest VND1 trillion (US$56.113 million) in 29 projects to upgrade power grids in the capital city between 2009 and 2010.
 
The funds will help upgrade 16 110-kV and 220-kV transformer stations. The money will also help upgrade five 110 kV and 220 kV power lines and will facilitate eight other projects to raise transformer station capacities and for putting power wires underground.
 
The company has completed two of the projects and will strive to complete three more projects by the end of August.
 
It will finish 13 projects by the end of this year and will complete the remaining projects in the first quarter of 2011. (Urban & Economy)
