U.S. Firm Plans Multi-billion Dollar Project in Central Vietnam

The U.S.’s firm Galileo Investment Group Inc. has planned an US$11.4-billion project to build Creation City Nam Tuy Hoa in the central province of Phu Yen.
 
Galileo will develop the project on 7,656 hectares along the Ba River with the high-tech city, a university, a commercial and economic center, a cultural park and a film studio.
 
Provincial authorities have recently okayed the project which is expected to develop Tuy Hoa town into a modern mega-city of high-tech industry.
 
Earlier, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung welcomed the U.S. firm’s idea for the project and asked local concerned agencies to work with the investor for considering project.
 
The PM said the province should analyze thoroughly the project’s administrative management, environmental impacts, use of land, plans for site clearance, compensation and resettlement. (HCM City Law)
