Vinashin Affiliate Builds 53,000 DWT Ship for U.K.'s GRAIG
Ha Long Shipbuilding Company, an affiliate of Vietnam Shipbuilding Industry Group (Vinashin), began building a 53,000 DWT cargo ship on August 26 for the U.K.’s Graig Investment Co., Ltd..
The HL14 has a capacity of 65,945 cubic meters, and Denmark Carl Bro Company will design the ship.
Norway DNV Company is responsible for checking the ship which is installed with the most modern automatic control system.
This is the 8th freighter of the same kind that Ha Long shipyard had built for the U.K.’s partner.
To date, the shipbuilder has handed over four ships among the eight for GRAIG. (Pioneer)
