Indonesia AirAsia Opens Dirct Jakarta-HCM City Flights

On August 19, 2009, AirAsia, Asia’s biggest budget carrier, continues to strengthen its international connectivity by increasing its flight frequency to Vietnam operated through PT Indonesia AirAsia.

 

AirAsia will be the only airline in the industry to fly directly from Jakarta to Ho Chi Minh City. This will mark the first flight for Indonesia AirAsia heading towards Vietnam, after AirAsia Berhad and Thailand AirAsia having their fleets already flying to Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City; targeting a significant overall average load factor of 75-85 %.

 

Connecting two major metropolitan cities in the region, AirAsia will be offering a fare from just 199,000 Indonesian Rupiah from Jakarta to Ho Chi Minh City and an all-in-fare of US$35 from Ho Chi Minh City to Jakarta. It will have a booking period from August 20-30, 2009, with a travel period of September 18, 2009 to July 31, 2010. The airline will fly four times weekly from Jakarta to Ho Chi Minh City and the other way around.
