Vietnamese Smokers Spend US$841.6M on Cigarette, Tobacco Yearly
Vietnamese smokers are estimated to spend VND15 trillion (US$841.656 million) on cigarettes and tobaccos each year, tripling that a decade ago.
The sum is a third the Vietnamese people spend on food and foodstuff and a third on medicines per head.
Treatments of three key tobacco-related diseases cost VND1.16 trillion each year.
