Panasonic Awards 7th Master Scholarship in Vietnam
Panasonic Vietnam, the holding company of Panasonic Vietnam Group companies, has decided to grant the 2010 Panasonic Scholarship to outstanding Vietnamese students nominated from the strict selection by the Jury, whose members are representatives from the Embassy of Japan in Vietnam, Vietnam Ministry of Education and Training, Panasonic Scholarship Japan Office, and from Panasonic Vietnam. This is the 7th time the Panasonic Scholarship Program has been implemented in Vietnam.
In 2009, 39 students from 13 universities nationwide applied for 2010 Panasonic Master Scholarship. Three of them have successfully passed five selecting rounds to win the Panasonic Master Scholarship for the course of 2010 - 2013.
It is planned for those three students to officialy start their study course in March at Tokyo University and Osaka Universty in Japan, after spending four months in Vietnam learning Japanese.
The Panasonic Scholarship Program in Vietnam has been started since 2003. So far the scholarship has been granted to 16 outstanding Vietnamese students. Five of them have completed Master courses (Two of the five are doing a Doctorate, other two are working in Japan, and one is teaching at Hanoi University of Technology.)
