Vietnam-Russia Intergovernmental Committee to Hold 13th Meeting Oct 21
Vietnam-Russia Intergovernmental Committee for Economic, Trade and Scientific-Technical Cooperation will open its 13th meeting in Hanoi Oct 21.
Officials of the two sides will discuss the bilateral cooperation in major fields, including industry, trade, finance and banking, education and training, agriculture, labor, post and transport, the newspaper cited deputy minister of industry and trade Le Danh Vinh.
Vinh added both sides will negotiate to facilitate further the trading and service exchange in order to raise the bilateral trade turnover.
Vietnam is planning to boost agricultural and seafood exports to Russia while Russian partners are likely to export their machines, equipment, materials, grains and wheat flour.
Trade between Vietnam and Russia reached over US$980 million in the first seven months of this year.
The two-way trade is forecast to soar between 40% and 50% to between US$2.38 billion and US$2.55 billion this year. (Trade & Industry)
