Viettel Pilots 3G Services in Vietnam Economic Hub
The Military Telecom Corporation (Viettel) is introducing 3G technology-based services in Ho Chi Minh City through showrooms in some major trading centers in the city between Oct 10-15.
Customers joining the showrooms will try five 3G services, comprising video call, mobile broadband 3G, TV Mobile and Video on Demand, Imuzik 3G, and Mclip.
This is a practical move of Viettel to officially provide the services to over 40 subscribers in December.
Hoang Son, general director of Viettel, said the corporation will invest VND12 trillion to expand 3G services to 90% of the country’s population by that time.
Viettel gained the highest grades in the contest to win 3G licenses in Vietnam. (Vietnam Economic Times)
