MPC Earns US$109.5M from Shrimp Exports in Jan-Sept, Up 2% on year
Minh Phu Seafood JS Company (MPC) earned US$109.5 million from exporting 10,980 tons of shrimp in Jan-Sept, up 2% in value and up 18% in volume from a year earlier.
The U.S. remains the biggest buyer of MPC shrimp with over 4,766 tons worth US$52 million in the period, accounting for 47.5% of the company’s turnover.
Canada and South Korea followed with 13.7% and 12.5%, respectively.
MPC, with a 5.18% stake owned by Red River Holding, targets to gain US$162 million from exporting 15,500 tons of seafood this year.
The Ca Mau province-based processor also expects its net revenues and pretax profit to rise to VND3.17 trillion and VND236 billion, consecutively. (Securities Investment)
