Japanese Investors Called on to Build 7 Expressways in Vietnam
The Vietnamese Ministry of Transport is seeking Japanese investors to build seven expressways that cost US$7.9 billion.
The expressways consist of Danang-Quang Ngai valued at US$1.6 billion, Ninh Binh-Thanh Hoa at US$1.6 billion, Thanh Hoa-Ha Tinh at US$1.3 billion, Ben Luc-Long Thanh at US$1.1 billion, Dau Giay-Da Lat at US$1 billion, Dau Giay-Phan Thiet at US$870 million and My Thuan-Can Tho at US$500 million.
Japan has provided Vietnam with around US$16.7 billion in ODA since 1992, and most of the funds pumped into infrastructure projects.
The Japanese government is expected to provide US$1.5 billion in aid for Vietnam this year. (Investment)
