Vietnam, Hungary Joins Hands to Build Tumour Hospital
On October 26, 2009, leaders of the People’s Committee of Can Tho City held working meeting with Hungarian Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Vietnam, Vizi László, on the cooperation in building Can Tho Tumour Hospital.
Ambassador Vizi László expressed his deep concerns over the groundbreaking schedule and hoped the Can Tho Tumour Hospital to be completed and put into operation soon. At the same time, the Hungarian Ambassador also officially invited leaders of the Can Tho People’s Committee and hospital project members to visit Hungary and tour tumour hospitals in the European nation.
The 500-bed Can Tho Tumour Hospital is expected to be built at 60 million euro funded by Hungary. The country will select main construction contractors. As much as 50 % of the investment capital will go to equipment purchased from Hungary.
