Vietnam and Sri Lanka have agreed to raise bilateral trade to $100 million in 2012 from $61 million last year, the Communist Party of Vietnam said.

The commitment was made by President Nguyen Minh Triet and his Sri Lankan counterpart Mahinda Rajapaksa during a meeting in Hanoi on Oct. 22.

Diamonds, fabrics and natural rubber and tea machineries were Vietnam’s key imports from Sri Lanka while processed agricultural products and tractors were its main exports. (CPV)
