President Triet: Vietnam, Myanmar Should Sign Military Agreement Soon

President Nguyen Minh Triet has proposed that Vietnam and Myanmar should sign a military agreement between the two countries’ defense ministries in a move to strengthen the cooperation in the aspect.
 
President Triet appealed during his meeting with Chief of General Staff of Myanmar Armed Forces, Gen. Thura Shwe Mann, in Hanoi Oct 21.
 
The guest informed President Triet that his trip, at the invitation of Defense Minister General Phung Quang Thanh, is aimed at strengthening relations between the two armies and the two peoples.
 
He conveyed an invitation to visit Myanmar from Senior General Than Shwe, Chairman of the State Peace and Development Council of Myanmar to President Triet. (VNA, People’s Army)
