EVN Unit Commercial Pwr Output to Rise 14.2% to 18B kWh This Yr
Power Company No. 1 (PC1), a unit of the state-owned Electricity of Vietnam Group (EVN), targets its commercial electricity output to rise 14.2% from a year earlier to 18.037 billion kWh this year.
The company plans to lower its power leakage rate by 0.57% to 7.57% in 2010.
The firm expects revenues of VND780 billion (US$42.21 million) this year, up 2.6% on-year.
Last year PC1’s commercial power output rose 15.55% from a year earlier to 15.794 billion kWh.
It sold electricity directly to 2,087 communes in 2009.
PC1 is now responsible for supplying power to 24 cities and provinces in northern Vietnam. (People’s Army, www.pc1.com.vn)
